BENMIDI
Client: benMIDI + Photography: Liz French
Multimedia web developer and audio engineer, Ben Midi, needed a brand for his work. I decided to dig into a classic style with the a font called Futura and make a bold brand by literally embedding the power icon into a singled out “i” and making an over all solid face. The reason for the “shadow” or awkward state of the “i” was because of schematics, engineering, and the complexity in designing and soldering the insides of devices. This compliments his design in sound, code, and his interest in making electronics.

GARAGE SNAIL
Client: Garage Snail + Photography: Liz French
We wanted to be really blunt, one color, and fun. I researched a lot about snails to get the right characteristics of it. A lot of what I wanted to put into the logo was it’s spiral shell and their tentacles. As far as the garage, there were a lot of ideas on how to implement the garage, but ultimately, the shell “housing” itself would be just that.

CHEF PUNK CLOTHING
Client: Chef Punk Clothing + Photography: Liz French
A new company was tired of seeing the same thing in chef wear for professionals in the industry. The client wanted something punk, fun, and hip instead of the same bland and cheesy look that pants have have now. I created food themed designs such as the chemicals in sugar and great teachings from the chef Escofier. A long with the designs, a website was made dedicated to the selling of these items. There was also a promotional package for the initial launch set at the Food & Wine festival in Miami. Clothing and other items are still under development.

COLLEGE.COM
Client: College.com + Collaboration: Pamela Cortez + Photography: Liz French
Our inspiration of classic varsity jackets along with the clients connection with the movie Animal House, made this font treatment and new brand for the website. The whole website would be based on stitching and patches to make it different and fresh from all other college based websites students visit. The company was a social networking site dedicated to college students with a large database containing every information needed from their school. Their largest competitor would be Facebook.

FLUFFY TIGER RECORDS
Client: Fluffy Tiger Records + Photography: Liz French
The client had the name and an idea, but not an icon. I decided to take a tiger and a cloud and mix it into a fun logo. The cloud shape represents the fluffiness of the tiger and the “zig-zag” portion represents the stripes of a tiger as well as the thundering roars from rain clouds.

GREENHOUSE PRODCUTIONS
Client: Greenhouse Productions + Photography: Liz French
Greenhouse was a production company made up in my Entertainment Business Class. The group wanted to show a visual of growth and youth running a Public Relations company. The tree would represent our growth in the company and new beginnings for clients, while the bubbly effect on the logo represented a fresh, young new look for our audience.

IVAN
Client: Ivanhoe Financial Inc + Photography: Liz French
The company wanted a logo where no matter how small or how big you put it, brokers and branches should be able to distinguish and associate it with Ivanhoe. The logo is made with thick lines to create the word “Ivan” and was proportioned and spaced so that it still looked good really small.

ORANGEGLUE
Bryant Castro (Me) + Photography: Liz French
A brand who's been around 5 years and still going. This splotch is not so much a splotch as it is the representation of my head, or more specifically, my big hair. Ideas pouring out, and having others see themselves in it and being creative, even though some say they're not. I believe anyone can come up with something. What do you see in my hair? A lamb, some broccoli, a tree, or an explosion from the fireworks you saw last year at the beach with your friends? There is no wrong answer, you decide what you want and that's final. You're product, your ideas come to life.

LOVEY DOVEY BIRD STUFF
Client: Lovey Dovey Bird Stuff + Photography: Liz French
The band needed a brand. Their idea was to have something very playful. A buggy, wings, and a siren, all to represent lost love. In the buggy, a couple would make out and just have the feeling of this fun-love. The wings would be an awe of that love, almost to say that the love is blind and all you think about is the the feeling one is in, but not digging deep into the why. The siren is an alert to let you know what's going on with this playful love, and another meaning to let you know that this playful love is coming your way.

GREATER MIAMI MUSIC FEST
Client: Love Rocket + Photography: Liz French
Greater Miami Music Fest was a festival created by Love Rocket to bring local bands from Miami together under one roof. This was their first annual event and needed a bold brand that can display Miami. I made the logo very raw with influences of han painted signs and Miami’s palm trees. This logo was used all over flyers, tickets, and posters.

BROWN NOSING
Client: L.S. Teza + Photography: Liz French
L.S. Teza was looking for a logo or shall we say “stamp” to go with a series of books that mostly dealt with working professionals. The demographics were for the young and old so I decided to make the logo literal with an elegant flare. Something that can be widely used incase she needed to go into very serious to the point topics, yet still have the curves to go into flexible more fun topics. It had to be nothing you had to think too hard on, yet pleasing to see.

I was given the direction to go with the flow. Pedro is a freelance Audio Engineer who need a business card quick. So quickly and efficiently, I finished his card with a quick turn around time.

The jeweler Christian Marc needed a business card to compliment his website. Something very simple with no graphics to show the simplicity and classyness of it by expressing much negative space. The crisp pitch black print fit very well with a nice thick paper with a fine texture.
